Kelly Grier Costin, a member of the Beech Mountain Resort family, passed away on March 19, 2021, after a three year battle with colon cancer. Her determination, strength, and unwavering spirit inspired many, and her story continues to bring awareness to the importance of colon cancer screenings.

In her honor, the KG Ripple Effect Award recognizes an individual with ties to cancer, whether as a survivor, healthcare worker, caregiver, or volunteer, who demonstrates strength, courage, compassion, and a deep commitment to their community.

“Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far reaching effects.” Dalai Lama

We are currently accepting nominations for this year’s KG Ripple Effect Award. The recipient will be honored on Friday, March 6, during the Not So Gala, Gala, benefiting the Colon Cancer Coalition.

The evening will include live music from The SteelDrivers and a live auction, all in support of awareness, prevention, and community impact.

If you know someone whose actions have created meaningful ripples in the lives of others, within the cancer community, we invite you to nominate them.
